The journey spans various continents. These are the countries we would like to visit: Argentina, Australia, Botswana, Chile, China, Costa Rica, Egypt, Ecuador, Fiji, Japan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Easter Island, Peru, Rwanda, Tuvalu, and South Africa. We still have some availability, and the itinerary is not set in stone. Therefore, things may still change.
The pink pins are for 2026 and the green pins for 2027.
2026 is set. We will start in Costa Rica, in search of bioluminescent water. After which we will cross the equator in Quito, Ecuador, allowing ourselves to be surprised by the theater festival, coffee, and cocoa plantations. Paccari, a famous and delicious chocolate maker, comes from Ecuador. After this, we will head down to Cuzco, Peru, to visit Machu Picchu and the Rainbow Mountains. After that, we will go stargazing on the plains of Chile, want to visit Easter Island, and visit Patagonia in Chile and Argentina. Next, we will make a major crossing to Botswana in search of wildlife in the Delta. We will visit Table Mountain in Cape Town, and South Africa to spend the holidays in Pretoria. We look forward to the cultures, the people, the food, and the animals.
We have the countries mapped out for 2027. However, we still need to determine the exact order due to the climate. We also need to decide whether to stop somewhere along the way, as we still have a few weeks left.
But one place we definitely want to go is Fiji, where my uncle lived and is buried. Arjan would like to play football in Tuvalu. After that, we will make a stopover in Sydney, Australia. And then travel on to Japan to make paper. In China, we want to visit the green city of Nanning and, of course, take a walk along the Great Wall. After that, we would like to visit Astana in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. If we still have money and time left, we will end the trip in Egypt, at the new museum.
Here We Go!
